@JustinTrudeau and @theJagmeetSingh 's emergency order has shutdown 39 trucking companies. Now if you worked for one of those companies and were not even involved in the protest you have lost your job. All the driver, dispatch, office staff, warehouse staff, cleaning staff - you name it.

And the emergency measure is necessary and not an overreach?

Another reason for trucking companies to raise the prices because the people in control of this country have just created even more of a supply crunch in the transportation industry.

Thumbs up!

They shut down trucking companies that have maybe one person who was protesting ... and not shut down comapines that have shady safety ratings!!! After he Humboldt accident the guy just opened another company and started up like nothing happened due to his practices

I'm gonna put 2 nickels that a certain carrier who had an O/O there but is heavily involved in Pharma is gonna come out aok... I hope they release the list.

Yeah a buddy of mine was going to have his authorities pulled because 1 O/O went but they where satisfied when they pulled the plates off the truck and fired the driver.

@Jim L ... maybe check me on this, but isn't the Emergencies Act still in force?

Anyways, talk about Draconian measures !!! In another thread I likened this type of behaviour to that of East Germany, and other Eastern Bloc countries, 30 years ago.
Scary business isn't it? Wonder what they'll be coming for next.
