MTB International-Toronto

Produce guys are the last ones you should let credit extend too far for. Why?

The actual product turns over very quickly ... so typically produce is a cash business ... so realistically the product is being paid for within 7 days max ... if they're taking anything over 30 days to pay (and it should be less) that means they are running on your money, which can't last ... there is no inventory!!!

Durable goods -- what ships now could have a couple of months or so in inventory ... so money turns slower.

How do you think Gallop and the other guys at the Food Terminal pay so fast? They are paid fast!

It sounds like Bill Masters is in trouble. He used to be a good guy though.

We have been advised by letter, William Masters is no longer involved in the operations of MTB.

Purchased by RRG Development Group, phone # 416-259-6079

We have left telephone messages, but to date no return call.

MTB has a May invoice with a balance, as Mr Masters was sending $200 a month on account.... whether we liked it not.

I guess Bill decided to retire.

I'm skeptical as to whether RRG intends to run MTB as a going concern. They may be stripping assets.

Doesn't look good - tried both individuals at the company Vincent and Robert but both mailboxes full - seems they are not "keeping up with business as usual"

I too am having the same troubles. After finding one office is closed, and no answer/full voicemails at the other office, I called the dispatcher Doug on his cell. He has declined to help me contact anyone in his office regarding their delinquent account (179 days old, we've only received three payments of $200... the last of which bounced.) This doesn't look good.....

Any update on MTB? I offer factoring services...I may be able to help MTB or any other company with cash flow issues by purchasing their receivables. Depends on the circumstances, but if I get involved, I may be able to help ensure suppliers get paid.

Anyone looking to get ahold of William Masters, he now owns a company called Top Shelf Storage, which is located on Harvester Rd in Burlington, On. He is renting or leasing warehouse space just west of Appleby Line on the south side of the road, opposite Peak Powersports ( Polaris dealer ). He was in behind Peak in a strip warehouse @ 4225 Harvester, but I am told he has moved across the street. Not sure who he convinced to give him warehouse space, but he is there for sure. Just had a relative inquire with me about warehouse space for 10,000 sq. ft in Burlington last week, wondering if I had ever heard of a smooth talking fellow by the name of William Masters. This Top Shelf has been runing for 2 years plus, as a gentleman by the name of Mark used to work out of that building, as a satellite office for MTB. Their other office was located at the food terminal at the time.I would advise anyone to stay clear of dealing with them, unless you want to do it for the Masters Charity.
It is unfortunate that he is like this, because he was left a very reputable business that his father had built up at the market ( Austin & Masters ), that he managed to run into the ground, and then went bankrupt.
He is a smooth talking, flashy guy, who doesn't care about anyone but himself.
The number for Top Shelf is (905)333-0844, probably get more action showing up in person !!
Good luck, should you have anymore questions, I would be glad to find out more.
I may be able to get a cell number
