We have and are having major problems getting paid.

They were bad payers ...on our DNU list.

not even returning calls now...after numerous promises that payment was sent

On our do not use list. I just kept hounding until we got paid.

Their phone number is not in service anymore

We currently have an invoice that is 1 year old unpaid. I know they have gone out of business. My thoughts are to go to the customer now and look for payment

usually after 90 days you should take action, hopefully they didn't bring you down for too much money.
