Hello all,

Checking to see if anyone has had any dealings with;

They made a big stink about getting an account opened as quickly as possible but then have not given us anything.

We have done 4 shipments in the past 2 years, last movement July 2021 - each paid between 30 -37 days from delivery.

uhh; we arrived early for our Domtar appointment; took 7 hours and two extra stops to load the freight.

Arrived late to delivery by 30 mins; all extra detention denied...

Instant DNU.

I just checked with our dispatch as I was curious how we did with them...

Apparently we encountered the same issue... waited for something like 6 hours and all waiting time charges were denied...

DNU here too!

On the bright side... Of the two loads we moved, we received payment for the first one by EFT in 30 days. The other is more recent and not paid yet.

I can confirm payment times as well.
As an update; received some detention time for this freight in question. Not exactly what was requested but more than anticipated.

Horrible we did load for them last month there was detention time on loading unloading and border wait this is 4 week still waiting on revise rate con from them plz careful get it approved before deliver plz be cautious
 
morning i should have checked here before booking freigh with Modelkite. My driver arrived this morning to load and was told by the shipper that they informed Modelkite the shipment was canceled... (probably found a better company). They are now refusing to pay a miss pick charge cause they forgot to advise us the carrier it was canceled and they apparenetly cannot afford to pay a $150 miss pick charge... very concerning.

Shady.. ouch. sorry to hear this. If broker can't afford to payout $150 for a miss pick or tonu, they should be forced out of business the ol' school way.

Wouldn't it be nice to put a wheel boot / tire lock on the brokers personal car while he's in the office working away booking loads and refusing to pay $150 tonus... would be quite the surprise at 5pm when he walked to his car...

hahahaha i would love that 1000%. funny part is i will bend over backwards for brokers who take care me... need 50 of this rate or hold some freight on my dock that long no problem. then you get brokers like this... its sad.

Modelkite kinda shocked they had enough money in a load for someone to book it, They are on the not worth the call or email list. Do not understand how they have no money though with what they pay I would think 30- 50% margins for them unless i guess their clients are a cheap as them but doubt it.

im assuming thats why they canceled me, problem relized they were paying a normal rate and canceled the order... obv they are now blocked lol
