They were recently bought out by Hub group I believe. We have done quite a bit of work for them in the past 6 months and all is good.

I used Mode Transportation 27 Automatic Rd., Brampton , On. mc 223021, we gave them 2 shipments last year, intermodal, no problems, I do show they were bought by Hub so could be same co.

Yes, as far as I know it is the same company. Because we deal with the dispatchers locally here and then bill to the head office in Tn. They used to be called Excel, I believe also.

Mode is indeed owned by Hub -- I'm an ex-Hubber so I know.
The difference is that Mode is an agency network so each office is independent but the billing administration all goes through HQ, Hub offices are all corporate owned (Toronto office is a bit funny though).
Mode doesn't quite have the same access to the Hub intermodal equipment that Hub itself does, but it does have its own fleet of reefer boxes. But they are friendlier to wholesale business than Hub is.
If money is a problem there, then the world is ending tomorrow.
