Let me just add
If you're going to deal with this company, make sure you have everything in writing since their memory is spotty at best, and when they tell everything is good (ie all loaded, paperwork faxed) check with the shipper & custom broker directly.
This company is what I call the typical trucker. And by that I mean they do whatever they want thinking they know best because why would a broker know anything about this industry and when it doesn't work out they blame everything on everyone else, no matter what they did wrong.
And whatever you do, if they say their policy is to get payment up front, do not say they are using "load holding tactics" or you will get a call from a crazy lady yelling at you how unfair it is to say that... if you know another way saying they're holding the load for payment, let me know!
