Anyone deal with them?

Seems a little funny here...

Authorities and insurance are all Magog Express.
From what I can see Mexuscan authorites were revoked in 1999.

They claim to own Charette Transport, Magog, RPR Transport, and Mexuscan.

All invoices come from Mexuscan, who from what I can see has no authorites and insurance. They claim that it's a similar setup to TFI (Transforce), but this is nothing like TFI's setup.

Mexuscan
Ste Martine, Quebec

Mexuscan

I don't know anything about the company as I haven't had any dealings with them directly but I have seen their trucks running up and down the road. Looks like mainly owner operators.

Their insurance shows numerous companies, Charette tsrsp & Mexuscan and Cormier Thorne, magog (total of 10 carriers listed) so they may be like the TFI set up

I know them, used them a lot in the past. Great service. NOT a double broker. Used to do business with Yves and Ross, but they're gone since last year. Dominic is the Inbond dispatch, Yan and Steve outbound dispatch. Not the cheapest ones, but great service.

we use them often, good company, all is good with insurance and authority.

We have given them inbound and outbound US and local Quebec loads without any problems whatsoever. Great service.

UPDATE :

Last two loads we gave them were LTL going to Mexico.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!
Never answer our e-mails.
When calling, they keep us on hold for 15 minutes to get a tracing.
Our freight is at Laredo, TX since 7 days - no news of when it's gonna cross over. All is cleared and ready to go - they just don't reply back to us.

Last time I give them something!

Sad to hear it Misto27

Mex Can or Transport Charette have been around for a long time and have specialized with freight into Mexico.

They had bought out several companies in the same fashion as Transforce, with the big difference being that they paid top dollar for companies that were NOT in financial difficulty. One of these was Cormier- Thorne or the former Thorco.

From reading trucking magazines, I remember an article some years ago talking about RPR one of the Charette groups companies, working closely with a Mexican outfit out of Laredo. From what I remember the daughter of the Charette owner married the son of the Mexican firm and the business was fortified, hence their specialization with Mexican freight.

I have worked with them several times over the years and was always pleased with the result. They always paid promptly as well.

I'm suprised to hear that. We use them weekly including 2 urgent shipments last week and it's all gone off without a hitch.

I have used Mexuscan for years and I am very surprised to hear that. That is was LTL, TL or Flatbeds, I always had good service from them.

I tend to excuse myself regarding my last comment.

Communication problems - they forgot to tell us one single info we didn't know and that's why it was not processed

Cannot say it's anybody's fault - just one info we didn't have.

Should be all good.

Sorry about this.

No issues

As the Aussies say!

WE think that we are a pretty good carrier and we do drop the ball sometimes. We do get it fixed though!
