Quoted on one of their loads posted on Internet Truckstop.

Nephton - Stone Mountain, GA -$1600

This is their response ----

Our pay is $1,100.00 on this one. What is the cheapest you can do it for.

How can I reply to this without sounding rude?

Suggestions, anyone??

I didn't realize it was a partial!!
Or just plain ol F off you pos!!

I find that all of the above have worked for me in the past.

I like Rob's response, it was very well thought out, to the point, and appropriate.

I might have thrown in a few more F U's, just for dramatic effect, then laughed and hung up.

Sometimes it doesn't really matter if you're rude. With those rates they don't deserve politeness.
 
Those same things crossed my mind, but it was a lady on the other end, and it was by email.
 
That's when you politely respond "The cheapest I can do this load for is $5....(pause)....PER MILE.....Thank you for your time, good bye."
 
I'm pretty sure they would get it moved at $1400 though.

But a lot of these US brokers don't know what a map is ... they'll probably end up giving it to RTS or someone ... what do they care, they can take it for $1000, pay $1500 on it ... they're not going to pay their bill anyway.
 
Unless you are in Nephton it is actually 1230 miles if you come out of Toronto and the loads are max weight let somebody do it for $1100 they will not be around for long.
