Another dead beat moving company that has screwed an innocent party out of their belongings.

I was sure I had seen this name "Mega Moving" before on the forum. I think it's long overdue for the moving industry to have set restrictions and guidelines that must be followed prior to being classified a "moving" company. That industry as a whole needs a "revamp". It seems the past few years there are more bad apples out there than good ones....

Somethings gotta give....

True Shakey true....but that doesn't mean an industry can't press or demand to have more "black or white". There's "grey" in many facets of industry. But the less grey you have...the harder it is to hide within it.

Moving companies are only starting to come to the "scamming" forefront. They are shown on the news - thanks to the likes of Sean O'Shea and Pat Foran. Too many people - outside of the industry - just regular folks - are continuously getting screwed by companies like this. And unless you're in transport and have a background of double brokering and know the "signs" to look for - it's way too easy to be screwed over. Packing and moving is already stressful enough...and once that is done...people are just expecting to receive their belongings on the other side of their intended destination.

It's horrible to think that once you close up those boxes...there is that "possibility"... you will never see your personal treasures again....Or you'll have to fork over a small fortune you can't afford...to get them all back.

It's these types of incidents...you hope "Karma" comes a knocking....

Most times you get what you paid for. I bet that if we look to the bottom of most scams, including this one, you will find a 'too good to be true' price out there. If not, somebody didn't do their homework. In today's day and age there are lots of tools to confirm the validity of a service provider.

The other problem with grey areas is the lack of enforcement. People lurk in the grey area because there is no real consequence or no way to get caught.
