Anybody knows anything about McMillan Traffic?
The owner is Ryan McMillan and they are out of Oakville

We picked up a shipment on their behalf from Nipigon, ON going to Toronto ON. This was agreed to be COD due to lack of their credit history. Ryan agreed to it and gave us a cheque but when we went to certify the cheque and it was no good we called Ryan. Then he said he would go and deposit money into our account - he did deposit a cheque and then he put a stop payment on it. The cheque bounced today and we would like to have our money.

Check with ScamChaser, but I believe if someone gives out a cheque and then knowingly puts a stop payment on it there is a case for fraud charges. Again...I am going off of memory here (which ain't so good some days! LOL)
 
What's the address & phone? I don't have anything for them under that name.

And with regard to your bounced cheque - 2 options I think ...

1 ) contact the shipper & request payment (explain scenario)
2) you can place the NSF cheque on "collection" at your bank for approx $20.00

Any funds that enter their account goes to your cheque first.

I looked high and low... nothing in our records here.

I called them and they answer as MTM/MacMillan Traffic Management. Sorry I wasn't more help.

Just talked to the Link, they said they can't get involved.
Talking to the bank now and we are also contacting OPP because it's fraud.

And I hope the owner explains what he did and why he did it?

You probably have this info.....the # 905-825-1212 belongs to a C Taylor @ 2189 Postmasters Drive in Oakville.............according to CanPages

We had a similar experience with a delinquent putting a "stop pay" on a cheque. Unfortunately the person writing the cheque is within their full legal right to place a "stop payment" on it with no repercussions. It is NOT fraud.

It is fraud when a cheque is written and is returned NSF.

he started sometime Late in 09.
he's running under the radar, The guy used to work for Independent Traffic Management and decided the grass was greener and took off with some of the customers.
He doesn't have anything at all to do with ITM I spoke to them and MMM.
 
Very bad payers. Always 90 days plus. They don't answer the phone and they never call back.

Owner on here saying he pays customers in 30 days. I have a few invoices that say otherwise.
