I'd be curious on the opinions of this article from some of our members. Yes - the industry needs to fill spots and employ in the various sectors of transportation. My feeling is the industry is still quite "traditional" and although we're moving at a fast pace regarding technology, we still need some of that "traditional" thinking in transport. It's not a matter of bringing in millennials to fill jobs. We need staff that is willing and open to learn from the more experienced industry veterans. In my opinion, this is where the issue lies. You have to WANT to learn....WANT to work.

I've been lucky to meet so many fantastic people in transport and learned quite alot over the years. I still consider myself a "newbie" with much learning to go. But if you're open to opinion, eager and listen to the advice of those with more experience - the possibilities in transport are endless. No matter what 'age dynamic' category you fit into.

We have some fantastic millennial's working for us tech savvy, forward thinking, hard working and not afraid to try and change the old ways. I like to think we have always been technologically advanced and not afraid of change so they fit in no problem. It doesn't matter how a process can be made better it's important that you always be open to better solutions.
