Anybody else having trouble collecting from MG Logistics out of Salmon Arm, BC? Booked the order with a Quebec phone number but billing and payments are out of BC. After 120 days of excuses and lies we sent them to collections. Apparently they dont like that and are now threatening to report us to Link Logistics and get the police involved. I say, "Pay your bill" and have a nice day.
 
Let me get this straight, they haven't paid you for a load that you have done. It has been over 120 days, so they have been placed into collections, and they want to call the police and Link on you? There has to be more to this story, that makes no sense at all...

I agree - something sounds fishy!! (Salmon Arm.......fishy........LOL I kill myself :))

Seriously, though, you can drive a truck through the holes in that story. There has to be more.

According to them the collections people have been swearing at them and threatening their lives. They had the cheque ready in the second week of May for a whooping $300 and it still hasnt mailed yet. Guess they are having trouble scrapping up the 54 cents for the stamp.
 
We're having the same problem. We'll get "paid" when they get funds although they were paid for the load we did. Actually, one of them was selling horses on a B.C. site. Gee...maybe that's when we'll be paid? The (president) emailed a couple of times and is showing 2 different surnames. I know the shipper has had numerous calls from other companies who are still waiting for payment. Also, I can't find any information that this company is incorporated which is a bit suspect.
Has anyone complained to Link Logistics regarding them?
 
I waited 90 days for our last 2 invoices on their account to be paid. They are now cut off with us. Michelle is the owner - Cassi in A/P is her daughter and they are working out of their home. I just received the last payment end of June and I had to get pretty nasty with Cassi. Her excuse for being late with payments was always "we are behind in processing". Michelle is never around....from the sounds of it MG got behind and is now "under water" - I would never deal with them again and doubt they will pull out from the sounds of it....
 
Actually, Michelle replied to my email yesterday and said she was mailing our payment on Monday. If so, then I'm one of the lucky ones as it is a May invoice.:rolleyes:

Any Quebec affiliation is bad news it appears. There is absolutely nobody in Quebec to enforce brokering laws. The same people get away with the same type of fraud month after month changing area codes and buying out companies to broker or double broker as much freight as they can. I am based in Quebec but believe me I stay away from 90% of companies here, even a good credit rating means nothing in Quebec. Quebec is like Dodge City of Transportation. A country within a country with total incompetance from all levels of government where the mafia are free to operate and do very well.

NO RULES AND COMPLETE DERUGULATION

Stay away from Quebec brokers and save yourself a lot of stress
 
I guess I should count myself lucky. Actually got a cheque last Friday for a May 4th invoice.;)

We've since put them on a do not use status.
 
Please don't mistake MG Logistics of Mississauga with MG Logistics Salmon Arm BC.
MG Logistics Mississauga has no affiliation. MG Logistics Mississauga specializes in Ocean/Air freight. Does a good, reliable job, and pays on time. Easy to work with.
 
I have an invoice that 186 days. According to Cassie the chq has been cut for over 2 months but they dont have funds to pay it. I was never too hard on her cause I though she had no pull, I had no idea that she was the owners daughter though...
 
I am sending complaint to link right now, seems to be enough to help get us paid can everyone not paid from them please send complaint please, we will get our money faster.

Well said.....The only time I get burned is a broker from Quebec.
