LTL Reefer from CA

Hi Guys!

Have one single skid to move from Montebello, CA going to Montreal.

Need reefer service - just to keep cool.

Anybody knows anyone that can help me with that?

Any suggestion, anyone?

Here are some carriers that I believe service that lane: Although I have never used their services.
1. Canamex, Brampton, ON
2. Scotlyn, Simcoe, ON
3. Roadstar, Milton
4. Bell City, Brantford, ON
5. Erb, New Hamburg

Just want to give a run down ( maybe other people are reading this )

Canamex - Brokers. Don't want to double broke my stuff
Scotlyn - truck load only
Roadstar - says they don't have reefers trailer even if website claims 24 units!!
Bell City - TL only from CA, but they do LTL reefer from ON to CA...
Erb - no return from CA she claims, but pretty sure she do not like me !

Try Transport & Service and I'm not sure if Gary Mercer runs reefer or not but both are excellent carriers.
 
Lowmiler is correct.

Both Garry Mercer and Transport N Service have a few reefers and are excellent carriers.

I don't believe that Erb wont take the freight because the dispatcher personally doesn't like you. I've dealt with Erb for years... they're just not like that (in my experience). Most likely this just isn't a match for what they're doing.

Garry Mercer - YES!! But up until Toronto - not to Montreal!

I was saying that cause each time I'm asking her for a quote, she never provide that kind of service. Either the commodity, or the places. Each and every single time...!:)

Bring it to Millard in Brampton and see if they can deliver it to Montreal, or use them for a cross dock.
 
Yeah... bring it to Toronto.

MD Food or Cam-Scott both have reasonable rates and daily service for fresh to Montreal.
 
Thanks Everyone! That is what I'm gonna do!!

But just got an e-mail from Garry Mercer and they might be able to help me out to bring it to Montreal - would rather do this even if a little bit higher on price. No need to cross dock to another company, etc....

But thanks for all your help! Will keep Garry Mercer's name not too far !

That's right, we're actually very nice people from a small little town

LTL service from California is hit and miss for us.
