Wow...
Just to refresh everyone, here's what I said as the 3rd poster on this thread:
"Just my opinion here and you know what they say about opinions so, take it for what it's worth...
We have been looking for the better part of a year for a couple of seasoned (4 years +) dropdeck O/O to no avail. Everyone is super busy and any driver who is any good, we find that they are being looked after pretty good by their existing employer.
That being said, at this time when drivers and O/O are in great demand, why do you have to advertise for a job? Maybe there are legitimate reasons for you being out of work but it just makes me wonder..."
A lot of great people have been supportive of you and willing to help. Then a little while later, you prove me right with a lot of attitude that almost everyone told you in no uncertain terms to tone it down.
You come back with:
" I am tired of broken promises by carriers who blow smoke up my A$$ as likely you do as well....and thats why you can't get anyone. If you dont like my BLUNTNESS you should not assume my professionalism in my field. I have worked with the best in my field....drivers.....that is. Carriers are a dime a dozen. All they are concerned with is that they have a big fleet in case they find some load pimp freight."
You sir do not know me or our company from a whole in the ground so please do not lump us in with your past history.
Again, in my humble opinion, it would appear that you have a chip on your shoulder the size of Texas and it's your attitude that gets you in trouble. You can hear and feel the disdain you have for companies in your written word. I really feel sorry for you if you do not change this.
Now, to the reason we have been looking so long for O/O's. We are super picky when it comes to our people. They are not only treated like family, they are family. We make sure that all our drivers are home every Friday for THEIR families as well. And we cheap them out you say??? The last O/O we hired in May/10 grossed over $265,000 so we know it's not about the money. Everyone of our O/O grosses over $225,000.
There are way too many people out there with your attitude and that is why we are still looking. We want the right person as, again, the people we hire are family.
Hope you have a great day and find what you are looking for.
