Looking for a Canada to US LTL Carrier

I am posting this out of complete frustration is there an LTL Carrier running to the states that will do what they say? We have numerous LTL shipments going all over the US and it is the worst kind, 2 to 6 skids with APPOINTMENT delivery, but we are up front about it. The problem we are running into is no one seems to be able to call and say they are late until 2 minutes before the actual appointment (it is not a few minutes late they are missing by it by 10 hours to a day late). We have our own trucks so we understand things do not always work out and appointments will be missed but all we ask is that we are just called in enough time to actually do something about it. Just so everyone knows we never look for the cheapest rates and we try and stay away from the unreliable.
Okay enough ranting I have 2 questions:
1 Is anyone interested in this business if so PM me?
2 Does anyone know a small LTL company who is struggling and are very good at what they do but just need help on the financial/paperwork side of things? We may be able to come to some kind of deal to make their life a lot easier.

#1 - Where's your LTL out of and where's it going?
#2 - Sometimes, specially with LTL, it just doesn't work out, like you said.
You have everything lined up and the one piece that actually makes it worthwhile drops off or is delayed so it delays the whole shipment.

We generally don't like someone else making our un-load appointments because, quite simply, they don't know what we have on our truck and our route. We will give you an ETA but you also have to be understanding to the fact that LTL is a whole different ball game...

Oh we know it's a whole different ball game I just wish our customers would understand but the big distribution centers just don't seem to care. We are quite willing to work with a reliable carrier and figure out the best soulution to get the product delivered. We ship to just about every state east of the Mississippi, OK, TX, AZ and CA. The freight comes out of Pickering and we pay within 30 days of delivery.
