Loblaws Maple Grove Cambridge Ontario

We have had similar problems in the past, especially with the reefer loads, very slow to unload, we rarely get any waiting time; a "green" company to the consumer...(Can't get bags in their stores as to help decrease their "environmental footprint"??) but a truck can run for 12 hours in the winter with a reefer running at their whse to unload easy clean skidded freight that we could unload here in 15 minutes...Crazy how things work sometimes

I agree we have had drivers waiting there for 12 hrs + with produce, AND no payment EVER for waiting time. We avoid taking Loblaws loads for that reason alone.

Loblaw's does pay waiting time for loads that they arrange so if you are getting loads through a third party that is billing Loblaws direct you are getting ripped off.

Only a matter of time before they shut it -- they've been moving a lot of their DCs to ditch the unions.

They do pay waiting time, but the process has to be followed -- telling the broker after the fact won't cut it ... you need to advise while it's happening ... or if you get one of those funky delivery appointments and it happens, at least 1st AM the next day.

When we have waiting time with Loblaws we submit an email after it is done and they send back an approval. It is very simple as long as you have made your delivery appointment because their system tracks time in and time out. Very simple to deal with I think people don't bother or are afraid that Loblaws will somehow punish them for asking for waiting time which is not the case at all.
