Do you require both loadboards as a CDN carrier? Or can you use DAT only? What are the pros/cons for both? Does Loadlink offer API integrations with TMS software for posting trucks like DAT?

I’m using both I love dat much better than link! If u r doing US lot it’s good coz us broker post at dat first!
Can you find the identical loads on Link vs DAT? DAT has an API link with our TW TMS, but Link does not for posting trucks.

I spoke to our DAT account rep yesterday and he told me some key notes. Approximately only 80% of the LOADLINK loads come through to DAT due to older software on the LOADLINK side. There is also approx a 5 min time delay before a load shows up on DAT. This could be the difference between seeing and booking a load if I understand this right.

Big Question:
If loadlink is so great , why does it allow false postings, i though this was for finding loads and trucks. why do they allow companies to post loads when there are no loads, or post they have trucks and no trucks available.

how are they supposed to know when a posting is good or bad? Call every carrier / broker everytime a new post??? I get what you are saying that they do not seem to care who is on there so long as they pay the bill to LL.

Load boards are nothing more than classified ads, like you used to see in the newspapers (remember them?) Someone says they have something for sale and it is up to you to determine if they are legit or not. LoadLink talks a good story with all their vetting procedures ,etc, but if a load gets double brokered or a carrier doesn’t provide the service or a broker doesn’t pay their bills, it is no skin off of their nose is it? There is no service, no agency that relieves you of your responsibility to check your customers and suppliers diligently.

It's the same way you don't expect every ad on Facebook marketplace or Kijiji to be legit. They are not liable to your negligence. And yet I get the frustration because you don't pay a dime to post or buy on the marketplace, but can't say the same for LL..

Yes we'll eventually support intra-Canada as well! We want to make sure we build out the right vetting requirements to prevent fraud and double-brokering.
