Has everyone received their new rate plan? They are gone nuts. We were 20 users 2 years ago for a price of 470$ month. We will cut down users to save costs a bit and yet we are offered now the magnificient price of 2300$ a month for 10 users? This is serious concern for the industry! What do you think?

Well this is an interesting thread that perhaps Link may not like to see. Just as an example, we pay $900 per quarter for the broker package. It includes (oh thank you Link!) one free user. We also have 2 additional users for which they are charging $105.00 each per quarter. What gives with all the different rate structures and additional user costs? Are they charging some companies by the month and others by the quarter? I would really like to know how my rates compare with other brokers. We are doing the same job, using their service in the same manner. Please feel free to comment.

They do have different rate structures and ways to spread the butter. But i mean, moving from 470$ to 1500$ to 2300$ in a 2 year span with the reduction to 10 users instead of 20, how can this make sense? I heard they want to move us to enterprise package, whih I have no idea what the deal is. Anyone knows?

Apparently, Link is coming back to their policy of remote workers, that they previously had in place and will enforce it. If you have workers connecting from outside the main office, it is illegal under their cheap package. That is their explanation as to why the price is exploding.

No major changes in infrastructure, no new features, support is still the same not bad not good, and no weekends or after hours. The only new thing you get with them every year is a bigger charge on your CC. They have been doing an awful job of protecting their customers by letting crooks like total onto the platform and do very little in terms of conflict resolution. No wonder people are finding loopholes to use their cheaper American counterpart DAT.

Just my $0.02

This is what occurs when we allow monopolies in Canada. Poorly run companies charging too much

Carriers... Link Logistics has something called Freight First. It is very limiting as you can only post two trucks per day but its only $50.00 month. They do not advertise this unless you are looking at cancelling your subscription. If your business can get away with only posting two trucks a day then this might be an option for you.

Hm.. Probably something relatively new...They never offered something similar to me when I was leaving them back in 2014 or 2015 ..... Even though I have only 1 truck and local, eh..
Still keep calling me every 4-6 month, just to here that I'm fine...

I think I remember this option but does it not also only allow you to refresh your leads on that posting 5 times a day?

I recall that if you wish to pay for your full year in advance, you can get a reasonable discount. I always liked the service and for sure you are able to pick a package that works for your operation or opt out if your sales team and dispatch team are capable of handling your business without this service.
I feel like I have a lot less anger towards Loadlink and their management than some members here, perhaps because I don't expect them to be 'the police', I never expected them to book our shipments for us, nor reveal trucks that we solely had access to.

My expectations for Loadlink:
Vett your clients (both brokers and carriers) - I feel like they have processes in place for this, perhaps improvement on regular reviews could be improved?
Action complaints - I feel like they have a process in place for this that is objective.

My wish list for customers of Loadlink:
Post real loads
Post real live trucks

My wish for the vermin that use this service to defraud hard working organizations:
Go F yourself.

Fair summary?
Mike

Only being able to post equipment in provinces and states that you have authorities in, would help with some of the double and triple brokering by carriers with 1 truck who post 30 lanes across North America.

That is very fair in my opinion, getting rid of the vermin should be a top priority. I too would not rely on them to police every transaction, I'm sure they are busy with many other things. There should not be a way that fraudsters can gain access to the platform.
