Yup. The Linamar trucks are a private fleet doing dedicated transportation related to their business. Rarely do you see Linamar looking for a load because the only instance of it is when they end up with an empty leg. But in surge periods my guess is that they outsource.

They outsource daily have for years. At the start of Gavin we did Linamar almost exclusively for the first couple years in and out. They used to call us their brokers.. 1998-2002 ish when Dad first got going.

What I'm saying is that the best routes where they ship finish goods out and racks back is what they put on their trucks as dedicated. Routes with empty legs is what they would look to outsource.

I quoted some truckload lanes for them way back in 2000 and got a rude response from their shipper (Earl I think his name was). Turned me off the place.. Earl likely long gone from there... maybe I will give them another try... can't be too cheap now haha

Earl was Op manager at Transportation. Earl then Alex then Dave I think it was and now no freaking idea. We do maybe 10 loads a year and it used to be 95% of what we did, back early 2000's.
