Any luck with collection from Les Transportes C.Morissette?
Here is my story. We did about 5 loads for the guy, he paid, but slowly. Last 2 loads to Ohio $400 an $500 went unpaid. That Carl Morissette character address in Qc is in residential area (Google maps) and reverce phone search shows that fax number(418)-204-1910 does belong to Carl at the address above and it is still in service. Another thing he's not picking up. Who's collecting from that guy? May I join?
The second half of story is interesting: we did those loads for US customer Monster Polymers Inc out of Baltimore, MD (as per BOL) but have delivered them to "M.D.Enterprises" in Wadsworth, OH(as per confirmation). Baltimore address is in residential area, phone is out of service, although they switched it to 705 (Uxbridge, ON) area.
Fax number is actually a phone number of some kind of a real MD institution (nothing to do with Monster). 705 number is responding as Monster - but they do not care about unpaid invoices - they "lost a contact with QC broker" (Carl). Lady in Ohio receiving still receives loads from Canada from Monster and she knows that new 705-357-2393 number.
Everybody's happy exept a carrier - myself. Anybody's dealing with Monster Polymers? How to qualify such behavior? Looks like Monster takes the load from a Canadian shipper to a cross-dock, books further a carrier to go to US with a fixed BOL(I guess they just took an occasional address/phone/fax/web-site to make those BOL look good) and uses some kind of Carl to deal with a carrier later. Uxbridge address (411 reverse) gives me a nice looking farm.
Monster Polymers(Lora, Laura) asked me to fax them paperwork, she'll pass it to "another departament". End of story.
