Just received this today:-

"Just advising that effective today Kingsway General have a CCC+ rating and effectively are recognized as Jevco Insurance Company as of October 1, 2009.

All contact numbers will remain the same.

Effective July 1, 2009 Kingsway will no longer participate in writing U.S. exposure. Any accounts written with Kingsway prior to July 1, 2009 will run for the full policy term and be remarketed upon renewal or remarketed mid term if necessary. With the change to Jevco, this ruling will still apply. No U.S exposure will be entertained on any business written after July 1, 2009.

If by chance freight is being sub brokered, I would encourage that dispatch be alerted to pay particular attention to the dates bound with Kingsway and bear the restriction that applies to any policy issued after July 1, 2009. Perhaps adding a question if U.S radius is recognized, when securing a certificate of insurance, would further armour yourself against possible exposure when sub brokering freight"
