The below person impersonated being a dispatcher for Khera Transport, and picked up a dry load for us from Fenwick ON to Leamington ON on April 13, 2026. Two drivers showed up to pick this load at around noon and were to deliver direct. At 4pm they said they delivered but we found out later that night from the customer shipment never arrived. Amanpreet (if that's his real name) first kept saying he delivered but would not provide a POD. Next day he stops replying period. We found out later this carrier's MC is inactive and the real carrier shut down about a year ago. Anyone knows this company or man please help us locate him. The shipper has a video of 2 drivers when they came to pick up. The police is investigating now. His fake info is below. Thanks.

The thing is, the drivers that picked up the load may not know that they're picking up for a freight robber.

The criminal mastermind takes your load ( Fenwick to Leamington )
He then calls his innocent carrier ( the pawn ) and tells him he got a load from Fenwick to Brampton ( or wherever he set-up a warehouse of his own)
The innocent carrier shows up at pick-up, takes the load and brings it to the robber's desired place.
From there, the load may be sold on the black market.

If someone is smart enough to impersonate a defunct carrier, he won't just show his face or his business partners' faces at the shipper.

It's not the first time this kind of theft scheme happens in Canada

You're only chance at finding these guys is if the shipper has video showing the truck MC and it happens to be a real carrier, who as BBL_Cody said was a pawn in this scheme.

They will know where it was delivered and from there, you can hope to recovery it. They should be willing to help as they will not get paid from the scammer.

If the carrier who picked up was in on the scheme, everything will be fake and your product is long gone

The robber probably booked the carrier who moved your load without a single call. That would give away his voice and location at the time of the call.

One 2-minute call with your soon to be business partner goes a long way

Yep, you're screwed.
the domain kheratransport.ca is 38 days old and likely setup just for this purpose.
The phone number has an area code of Montana.

You have to do a better job discerning who you're giving out information to.

Your only hope now is that your shipper's video has the license plate of the tractor/trailer and can source a lead through that. Hopefully the product isn't worth much. You had better let your insurance company know that you might have a claim against your contingency cargo policy.

They stole one of our loads as well. I believe the drivers are also in on it as they picked up our load from a very close partner's dock who went through their dock footage and one of the drivers had left the truck after picking up the load (prior to the truck leaving our partner's yard) and walked across the street to a bingo hall where they had parked a car and took off from there. We also notified the police but we have yet to hear back from them and this was from the beginning of March. This is the contact number they were using when we booked the load.

Notice how the phone number changed from the OP to this last post?
406-717-2191 and 639-387-0999

Also, the address has a spelling mistake that is not in the FMCSA portal. If you look, the mistake is the same as the google profile.

You're dealing with a guy who is using tools to scrape the internet for defunct carriers, then create a similar domain name, flip phone numbers just to defraud you. It's highly likely that they know the lanes and the type of freight you haul which are desirable to them. You've probably dealt with them before. I'd look at all the carriers you put under the similar load and start there. Its highly likely they've dumped that phone number, trucking company name and domain name for a new one by now.

Take your time and know who you're giving a load to before giving out load information.

@KatelynR - what load matching platform did this carrier contact you?
LoadLink!
They also provided us with a complete company package which was obviously frauded, however, looked very professional. We emailed the insurance broker to become a certificate holder as we normally do and we did not find out until it was too late they were not insured. A very good lesson on our end to be calling all insurance brokers when we set up carriers. This is not the first time they've done this nor will it be the last.

I was going to say it is for sure Loadlink

This guy almost for sure has an active MC number that is in good standing so he can see all the loads being posted.

Jim is 100% right.

They will target small towns where there is only 1 or 2 shippers but have high value / easy to flip freight. They will know your shipper better than you do.

An ON --> ON load being done by a SK company does seem suspicious, however, our load was going out to Lethbridge, AB from ON so it did not seem as suspicious since a lot of SK/AB carriers run that lane in my experience. With that said, I just wanted to inform everyone so this doesn't happen again as when we reported it the insurance company told us there were already multiple other companies reporting it to the RCMP.

What insurance company did you report it to? There is no insurance policy that is going to honour that claim. They're going to say that you were a victim of fraud and you will have to go against your own contingency policy because it has nothing to do with them.

I meant in terms of following up with the insurance company they claimed to have an active policy with. We are now opening a claim with our own insurance because as you said they did not have a valid policy.
