Out of St. Lambert, QC... anybody have any experiences with them?

Feedback is appreciated

I would not touch them because...

I would not trust a transport company from st-lambert, it is a very small town that do not have trucking companies. Your company is out of brossard and have no credit history in either dun and bradstreet or equifax.

Therefore not long enough existance for dealing (at your own risk).

Isn't there is a RTS ( Road Transport Solution or something like that ) in St-Lambert as well ?

St Lambert

I would be weary regarding any Transport Company that uses St Lambert as a base. There are really only two tiny industrial areas ( these are not Parks) with old factories established before the turn of the Century with acquired rights.
There is no place in this town for a trucking Co. nor will the town ever grant a business permit to such a business.
I knew of only one freight broker that worked out of St Lambert that has been there fopr the past few years and it is not RTS.
For Torontonian's , I doubt you will find a trucking Company based out of Rosedale!!

Use of this site is mandatory

I have just informed my dispatch crew, that any new carrier (or someone we haven't used for a while) must be checked out on this site before any freight is tendered to them. It appears that last week, we gave an LTL shipment to this Kaiser Transport fellow and now we're in a real jackpot. He picks up in WI. for delivery to Calgary. At the shipper's facility they use trailer hooks to secure the trailer once it is in the door. They have large warning signs to alert drivers that they must open their doors before backing in. The driver doesn't and some damage to the rear trailer doors occurs. Today he is in Calgary and quess what - he won't deliver until we pay for his damaged doors! Thank goodness there weren't any school children playing behind his truck or we would be paying for that too! He is threatening to drop our customer's freight at a warehouse in Calgary and not tell us where, so if anyone out there in Calgary sees or hears about this let me know please. I hope we don't have to get the police involved, that could really drag this thing out. Any thoughts from the members of the site?

Sorry to trouble the rest of you with my dilema, but here's the latest from Marius Marin of Kaiser Transport. He wants $900.00 to repair his "damaged doors" + the $600.00 for the LTL shipment to Calgary. He wants this ransom sent by Western Union (of course) before he will deliver. I am at my wits end over this (plus so, so mad at myself for letting this low life extort money from me) but I don't want to lose a customer over $900.00. Please everyone, for your own safety, never, ever use Kaiser Transport Service/Kaiser Transport Consultants of 67407 Lemoyne St-Lambert, PQ. Just think how stree-free this job would be without scum like this floating around our industry.

I saved myself the drama luckily with this guy. He use to go by GTM 2000 and by mario. We gave him our load and come the day of pick up cannot get a hold of him and the shipper had not seen the truck yet. come 4pm he faxes over a page saying he can't pick up. from that point DNU. Later I read that company was extorting like your situation. Then I come in contact with Kaiser for the same shipment GTM had booked with me months earlier. Mariuz sounded very familier so i did some digging and realized it's the same dirtbag. Yanked the load from him right away ( I hadn't sent the actually dispatch yet). This guy definetely needs to be stopped

Obviously this guy is a crook, so you're doing the right thing by putting his name up for all to see. The damage to his doors is his driver's fault as the law requires that the driver check behind his vehicle prior to backing up. Had this clown done that all would be okay now. I would pay the 900.00 now to get the freight dleivered and I would commence legal action upon receipt of the pod. Personally, I wouldn't let this go...but that's a judgement call you will have to make.

It souds like a very big loser to me.

have you called their insurance and complain about this damage claim to his trailer and at the same time that you might have a claim because he is taking your load hostage (insurance companies do not like to hear this from one of his client), that has worked for me in the past. If he hired an idiot to drive his truck, you should not be paying for it.

And for everyone.... if a new company comes out of saint-lambert beware. It is a very rich and small town with no room to grow industrial space, as well as lots of low bridges ( I get to see convertible trucks and trailers every week).

Right now, after sending the $600.00 freight charge + $900.00 ransom by Western Union to Marius Marin personally last night, we are waiting to see if the freight does deliver this AM in Calgary. Until I know that the customers shipment is safely off this crook's truck and secured on their dock, I can't relax. I have lodged a complaint with Link about this and notified the NTBA to alert their membership. I doubt reporting it to either the RCMP or Quebec Police would do much good, it's small potatoes to them. Hopefully, I will be able to report back that the shipment has delivered - I hope!

OK, I promise, this is my last post regarding this scumbag, but I know the thought of him will continue to churn in my gut for months to come. Our shipment has arrived at the receivers in Calgary. If you ever hear the name Marius Marin, run away as fast as you can!

Bad service DNU

Mario hauled some forklifts for us in the past year with no problems but... my customer was not in a rush to get his freight. I gave him a skid to pick up last friday in OH, said he would deliver on tuesday in Vaudreuil, PQ. Follow up on Monday, all is good. Tuesday comes, I can't get a hold of him until 2PM and he tells me he ran late delivering AM and can't make it. Ok, s**t happens, but why no follow up? Now it's Wednesday and the freight won't deliver until Thursday late AM... maybe. His BS pretext for not delivering was that my skid was supposed to leave with his outbound trailer for MI that didn't get loaded today.

Now I don't mind a 5 day delivery for one skid LTL, but nothing pisses me off more than a BS ETA. Especially when the customer schedules his work accordingly. If you don't wan't to lose credibility and possibly customers, don't give work to Kaiser. I know I won't anymore.

pqbroker I would also make sure you get a copy of the custom papers and make sure that it has his company moving the freight. Seems like a totally dirt bag.
I hope he does deliver it tomorrow for you, please keep us informed of what happens.

That doesn't suprise me... next move will be holding your freight for ransom. Good luck!

Freight delivered

My skid got dropped off this morning. I was lucky this time. Let's just say I won't ever push my luck with these guys again.

Here's the message he left on my voicemail this morning if you guys want to hear what Mario/Marius sounds like: http://www.filedropper.com/msg0001

I happy to have found this site, it's a real goldmine of info!
