I have only used them twice. But to their credit, they quoted me a price to pick up a truck at an auction in Oshawa and bring to St. Catharines. The truck was incredibly difficult to pull out of the auction yard (I was there supervising...I don't ever leave tow drivers alone) and the traffic from one end of the city to the other was horrific. It took a good 1.5 hours more than what they had quoted me it would take. But they honoured their price. I only have this limited experience, but it was not negative for us. Sorry if that doesn't help much!
These people are the worst, Jane is the dispatch/owner, I would go elsewhere if you can. If it's an accident situation they will jack the rate, lock the vehicle in their compound and extort you for more money than you can think. I know of many people who have had issues with her. She does drive a very nice hummer though
All towing companies are the same get a quote and they honor it but if they get called by the police they all take advantage. As far as the nice Hummer goes, I had a driver make a snide comment about the nice Dodge Ram I drove, I simply explained to him that if I drove some old piece of sh*t guess what kind of truck he would be driving...........take some pride in your ride and never apologize for it as long as your are treating your employees the way the deserve.
Bubba One - it was an accident situation, happened exactly as described. I have filed a formal application with the Niagara Police Services Board to have their municipal license revoked, if you had a similiar experience, contact me and I get help you get one filed as well.
The only way we can deal with these police contracts-kickbacks is to work on them one at a time....
We've been fortunate in that area in that we have not allowed the police to make the tow decision. We use Metro Collision. They're arrogant and expensive, but worth every begrudging penny you have to pay them
@thebluffs1 ... you may also want to get your insurance company onside as well. They do carry a pretty big stick.
