We were initially in discussions with this carrier in 2025 regarding potential regular freight opportunities. During those conversations, we made it clear that freight was required to move strictly on their own assets with no double brokering permitted. To their credit, they advised upfront that they would need to rely on partner carriers to support some freight rather than us finding that out later through other means. Transparency on that point was appreciated.
In April 2026, we decided to provide a few test loads to evaluate performance and communication before considering any long-term partnership. Unfortunately, communication throughout the process was inconsistent. Additionally, after providing us with pricing, the rate increased by $500 within approximately 4 hours between quoting and us attempting to finalize the booking. When we questioned the sudden increase, they acknowledged intentionally raising the price and indicated they would continue increasing it daily.
The interaction ultimately became unprofessional, including a callback where we were told “good luck covering your loads” in a rude manner. Based on the overall experience, including communication issues and conduct during negotiations, they have made our DNU.
