Never pays..... heard there owner was involved in funny business in BC before he moved to Toronto to start fresh...

if u want unorganized non English speaking drivers to work for your loads this is the right company to come to...

dealt with them in 2011 and still not paid yet.

@trucker101 What is the reason they won't pay you since 2011?

The other information about drivers not speaking English is not crucial. Even the most reliable companies will have drivers that won't be fluent. It's your job to ensure if your shipper needs a driver to speak English.

Can you please explain what funny business you are referring to?

I have no experience with them as I don't deal much with perishables.

Believe it or not, I have found that some of our "new Canadian" drivers with poor English actually are sometimes easier to work with. Since we text instructions to all drivers they tend to read it very carefully and ask more questions than some of the other guys. Less confusion, they don't just glance and start heading somewhere because they think they know where it is. Although we try to keep them south of Barrie since some of our customers in the north are not as understanding. The neck seems to get redder the farther out of the GTA you get.

We have 1 driver that if you try and talk to him you might as well hit your head against the wall but write it down and it is done to a tee, we are careful where he goes but our customers that deal with him really like him so no issues.

It reminds me of the days long ago when I was a dock foreman at Kingsway North Queen. We had 2 dock workers who were 100% deaf and dumb. You gave them the pro bills to strip a load and they triple checked everything by studying the bill and the marks on the freight. Mistakes were non existent.
(same system as my wife uses when she sends me to the grocery store)

Our necks may be redder but we are proud of it! However, many (but not all) of the 'new Canadians' get more ignorant the further north they get. I wonder if they are as proud?

If you want to categorize whole group of people as "proud" and another group as "ignorant" then there is no need to explain. Your opinion is clear and you are entitled to it.
I have met enough "old" Canadians over the years to know that ignorance, laziness, bad attitude and poor hygiene is not exclusive to those who have chosen Canada as their home.

I was going to let this go but it ain't going to happen. whatiship - you categorized everyone north of Barrie as being a redneck and that is simply not true. I was trying to be subtly sarcastic by asking if some of the new Canadians are proud of their behaviour when they come north - just as you suggested that some of your customers in the north are not understanding. People are people regardless of where they are from.

I did not categorize either group so please don't ass-u-me and lump me in with anyone who does.

Oh yes - and I have no issue with laziness, bad attitude and poor hygiene. I live in the north and you have just described a common Sunday morning. The only issue I have is with anyone who doesn't speak English as their primary language and that is the language barrier. I am horrible with any language and we have a driver who primarily speaks French. Try understanding him when he has his knickers in a knot!

Hump Day is over and I can see the weekend up ahead! Yea!!!

I remember those dudes at Kingsway too. If you gave them a load that they didn't like they would show their disapproval in non vocal ways.
Yup, forgot about that, there was no mistaking the fact that they didn't like the load!
