International Freight Solutions

Well...the ''beauty'' of it is that you can do this over and over again in Canada....with very minimal risk of getting any kind of punishment....they don't hold you personnally responsible for the company's behaviour.

Bad cheques on the other end are rarely worth the trouble of going to the cops, but if they write too many they'll be cut off by their bank. You can report them to Equifax and all....

Hi Ho, Hi Ho... It's off to court we go!

I have now filed in small claims court against International Freight Solutions, two of their customers, and for good measure I added Jason himself as a defendant.

Serving the documents was amusing... They were definitely inside as I could hear them scurrying about like little mice... But they would not answer the door. No problem, the inside door was open, I'm guessing because they are using a piece of string in place of a door-knob, and the screen door was little more than a frame with a holey old screen just hanging on for dear life by the corner threads...

So... I slipped the papers in through one of the many openings in the screen, banged on the door once more, and I was on my way...

Today, I'm off to visit their customers and provide them with their own copy of the documents...

payment received!

Good news... For me anyway...

Jason called me on Friday afternoon and said he would drop by our office with a bank draft for the full amount due.

Sure enough, a little before 6:00pm Jason arrived and handed over the bank draft. His account is now paid in full.

For anyone else still collecting: Good luck and don't give up, I believe I was paid relatively quickly after starting our collections process last week, only because I brought as much pressure as possible to bear. I called the Load Link, his customers, his bank, and finally sued him and his customers on Wednesday last week. Not to mention the scene I created on the front lawn of his residence last Monday.

For the gawkers: Thanks for tuning in... The more companies watching and posting about slow or non-payers, the better for those of us trying to collect...

Thanks again to Inside Transport!

I have an invoice from September 30th. Have left several messages. Spoken with Jason about getting a cheque and he was suppose to call back with a cheque number and never did. Billed his customer and still have no response.

On our Do Not Use list.

Don't wait any longer East Bound. This guy just doesn't care, he will ignore you to the end. You need to sue him in small claims court and also his customer. I got paid in less than a week after doing just that. It costs a couple bucks, but worth it in the end.

Good Luck.
