For those of you who missed the ad in the paper on December 23rd (this one is more detailed of course):
Dispatch Position Available
Starship Logistics Inc, a third party logistics company, located in Georgetown, Ontario is looking for a dispatcher to join our team. Fluency in English is a must and fluency in French would be a wonderful asset.
Starship is celebrating 22 successful years in business arranging over the road transportation for our 100 plus customers. We are currently seeking an individual with the following skills to join our dispatch team.
The position would require the following:
• Maintain and build relationships with current and future suppliers.
• Build relationships internally with account managers, operations and administration.
• Attention to detail when booking shipments.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks at a time.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the United States and Canada.
• Strong negotiation skills (purchasing).
This position requires strong communication skills, strong computer skills, time management, and the ability to work well alone as well as within a team.
Salary and benefits are paid based upon experience with a potential for bonus
If you feel you can meet these requirements, have 3 to 5 years of dispatch or transportation experience preferably in third party logistics and strong motivation to satisfy loyal customers, please email us right away. We have a position for you.
