I dislike it when... Could be a fun thread although negative in nature.

On a lighter note........ I dislike it when I open a box of smarties and the colours are all faded.

That's the one that pi$$e$ me off the most!!! First, it's not easy trick or treating in January at my age you know. Next, it took 20 minutes to beat the kids back. Then I had to run into the bathroom and lock the damned door just so I could enjoy them all myself. I open the box and "What the heck!!!" faded, friggin' Smarties. Can't tell the blue from the purple, the red from the orange, the green from the brown. Depressing, ya know what I mean ??? :(

I dislike it when a customer admits it is there fault that a load was refused on a Friday and when we want $200 on a redeliver they have the nerve to say "we are only make $50 on this can you do it for that"?

We should all strive to be politically correct. Those are not customers, they are charity cases. They should at least give out tax receipts though.

The only good thing about is I could yell at someone (well talk loudly) and be 100% confident I was right, still took 15 minutes to get through to them. Who is hauling the smarties, you need to turn on the heat and not let them freeze.

I dislike it when...... a broker tells me a delivery is FCFS during the graveyard shift and then when your driver gets his BOL at the shipper is says "MUST MAKE DELIVERY APPT! MUST DELIVER 8AM TO NOON ONLY." This just happened to us...... called receiver and they don't even have a graveyard shift! They never have! AND they haven't been FCFS for at least the last 5 years! Drives me bonkers, I tell ya......

I dislike it when....

I've been getting quite a few calls over the last 6 months asking me about a carriers service. I'm being advised that 'we' are listed as a reference.
Really?? It's news to me! Shouldn't a carrier ask 'us' or 'me' to be a reference for them prior to adding me or 'us' to their list of references? The one I received less than 5 minutes ago - zero history (no orders), mind you we replaced our TMS about 3 years ago now. How can we be a reference for someone we don't work with? Too funny.

Keep well,
Mike

From my perspective ...
I would ask you to be a reference to our service. The question serves two purposes. The first being that I would know that I have your permission to tell people that we do business together. The second being that, should you say "no", I would have the opportunity to enquire as to why. If the answer to that was because we failed at something, I would then have the opportunity to fix it. If the answer was that you did not want to be bothered answering questions, then I would know not to piss you off :) .

"I dislike it when old retired people are in stores on weekends always in the way go on a Tuesday at 10AM for Christ Sakes."

"Senior Discount Day" - have to keep remind them, ya know..;)

"How come there is no "hard working, barely getting by, working my ass off discount" day?"

Best idea ever!!!!

In my other life I used to work at Shopper's Drug Mart in the pharmacy...on senior's days, the owner asked us all to bring in home-made baked goods for those seniors!! Like that wasn't kicking us when we were already down!

Caller: Hi Mike, I'm calling to do a carrier reference check on ---- company.
Me: Oh, I wasn't aware that I was a reference
Caller: Well that's how things go these days.
Me: Um, please have the carrier call me.

I have great respect for the company that called me (they are an amazing carrier) but I still can't understand why anyone would list me as a reference without asking me first.

Keep well,
Mike
