Hi All
My very reputable carrier will not pickup from 60 Tycos Drive in Toronto ON, M6B 1V9, as after searching google maps they say you would have to back out as not enough room to turn around. I am okay with that but the shipper says they have 53ft reefers and triaxles in everyday and drivers have no issue. Are there any carriers who have picked up or delivered to this facility? I don't want to send another carrier in if they will have a problem getting out. Thanks

I looked at the map. You can drive into this facility and with a bunch of jiggling and wiggling you'll be able to get on the door in the back. Then you have to wiggle and jiggle to back out of the facility and out the little driveway onto a street that is quite small and has cars parked on either side. This is based on the nice summer picture on google maps, I don't know what its like if there is junk all over the place or with snow. Speaking of snow there is a hill to back up and out of and if there is ice, well ....

The chances of an incident is huge at a place like this and if you're in a highway tractor then it's worse. I would not send my guy in there twice. Straight trucks only.

We've all been there, the shipper who says they get 53 foot trailers in there all the time with no issue - I call BS.

Lots of easy freight out there at good rates...these places are no longer worth the risk! I agree with Jim.

Thanks, I really appreciate your opinion and over the 9 + years I have worked as a broker have had many shippers or receivers say no issues when in fact there were. I would never want to send a carrier into a facility that may cause them to damage their truck. Just not worth it. I will advise my customer I will only send in straight trucks. Thanks again Jim I appreciate it. Mary Lou
