Has anyone been approached by OLGA working for a factoring Company?

There's the problem with broken telephone. Someone tells a person something and what they tell someone else could be slightly different, then by the time it gets to Paul it's a third or fourth or ninth version. Although there could be 'some truth' the the story, like I said earlier any reputable company would not offer it's clients confidential documents to 'leads' as a sales tool.

Happy Friday, let the bachelor party commence (at noon)!!!
Mike

I don't think it was a rumour - I trust my source. I take it you're from the factoring company addressing me so formally and hiding behind a username.

Dear Mr. Shteyn,
Your statements are a violation of the forum's policy of non-posting defaming and slanderous posts and have already been reported to the Administrator of the website as such. Hopefully they will respond.
Whatever your source is, you should disclose it and give proof. Otherwise it is slander and libel, and it is punishable by law in Canada.
Have a nice day!

Anyone else feel free to contribute to this? Is this slanderous? Punishable by law of Canada? I do remember an owner of one of the Russian speaking factoring companies call me and tell me that they have a legal team so big that I shouldn't mess with them. Hoping this isn't the same person.

Factor - I demand you tell everyone what company you're from and your name? :)

Wanted to give everyone a heads up, right now I cannot verify what company she works for but she does offer people leads based on people that currently factor. This is not a rumor - I was approached by a colleague in the industry who had mentioned Olga wanted to offer factoring to their company and the benefit would be leads from companies like mine and others that have been factored through them.

There is more than one Olga and there are more than one factoring company.
Paul's only post was that 'someone named Olga' was offering unethical bonus for becoming a customer. He never mentioned her employer. Others drew conclusions. Good luck with your lawsuit 'Factor'!
For the record - If I ever owned a business and needed a factor, IPS would be my only call anyway - so professional and great people to work with (from a 'we pay them' perspective).

Just my 2 cents,
Mike

Just brush it off Paul. Factor signed up from what I can tell 1 day after you posted your original thread. I don't see anything you've done wrong. You simply asked for information based on what a colleague had told you. That is what we all do all day long on this forum. I guess we can all get lumped into one big class action suit!!

When a member of this forum receives poor service from either a carrier or a freight broker, they can usually back it up with copies of load confirmations, dated Bills of Lading, etc. It is then up to other members to make their own decision, if they want to do business with the poor service provider. As Mike Jr and others have mentioned, repeating a story on this forum that you heard from a third party is stretching the limits of both your own credibility and that of the forum. I have no reason to doubt Paul's sincerity in his beliefs, however perhaps the original post could have been a bit more generic in nature and not identified an actual person. The concept of a factoring company, or any other company, offering confidential information in return for business is exceptionally unethical. If indeed it did happen, let's hope that it was a very isolated incident.

Loaders, I do agree with your post, but there are tons of OLGA's in this world and there are Tons of factoring companies. I cannot verify that a factoring company give out any information but I am certain that this happens. Factoring companies are there to help businesses with operating cash as Bill to companies don't always pay within terms they must always generate new business and some do it in unethical ways.

Speaking for myself (my name is on here not a shadow or a nickname) I decided to post what I heard rumour or not, this is a private forum where people register to be on here, I released no information that would endanger anyone, I have not threatened anyone, it is up to you how you use the information provided.

To have someone sign up who has no credibility, could not provide a name, come on here and state that this is libel and against all laws of Canada is absurd and this individual should be removed from the forum, they have not contributed in any way to its members and to helping maintain a website which has helped many of us.

my 2 cents

I think it is obvious to all, that "factor" is somehow related to one or more of the parties involved in this situation. I agree Paul, that a member who suddenly appears on this site and then proceeds to threaten another member with potential legal action, is really not the kind of contributor we're looking for. It has been my experience that someone who boldly threatens legal action, is not likely to proceed with it. Those who advise you quietly of impending proceedings are the ones you end-up seeing in court. So don't lose any sleep over this.

I am awfully sorry, did you see any threats anywhere in the posts? Am I missing something? I just wanted to attract the attention of the individual who is trying to tarnish a reputation of a person that is very highly respected in the industry that there are legal consequences to any public speaking in Canada. Besides, there are the rules of this website, that are being violated in this case.
Thank you very much. God bless you.
