Hey Gang,

has anyone been approached by a sales person named Olga? She works for a factoring company not sure which?

She did call us twice now. She calls back even when I told her that we didn't need her services. Second time she called back I reminded her that she is wasting her time with me and in the end she asked if she could call back in couple of months.

I was surprised that she wanted to call back again. I believe she is with Grand Financial. I may be wrong.

Wanted to give everyone a heads up, right now I cannot verify what company she works for but she does offer people leads based on people that currently factor. This is not a rumor - I was approached by a colleague in the industry who had mentioned Olga wanted to offer factoring to their company and the benefit would be leads from companies like mine and others that have been factored through them.

Give leads to what brokers??

If they are giving leads to shippers that is shady but what do you expect from some of these factoring companies? They are right up there with brokers and carriers that figure double, triple brokering is a business model.

The thing I don't understand is how with margins in trucking being what they are how carriers can give up the points to these companies? We use companies that use factoring as a last resort if their is no one else that can do the load. Then hope like hell their factoring company is on the ball and send the bill in a timely fashion and not 3 weeks later when according to them you are all ready delinquent and they want to send negative credit reports out on you..

what they offers is to reuse their BOL's from there other factored loads and give them to new clients to contact and get more business, since they are active shippers they know the rates and lanes.

I cannot verify but that name was the name most mentioned.

Unreal, just when you think you have heard every scam out there another one pops up!

Agreed, but from personal experience customers don't leave unless you drive them away.

Olga Baldin from Grand Financial FYI for those who pay Grand Financial Direct.

These are pretty serious allegations I think.
If Olga is offering confidential documentation (property of her clients) to other clients as a sales tool, I have a hard time believing she's doing it with her employers consent/blessing.
Is there a member here who is a customer of Grand that will ask them about these practices and post an update.
I don't have free time, but I'll call them if no one else will.

Keep well,
Mike

already called
Sorry should be already emailed

After I sent I received a call from owner saying that this is not true they keep all in complete confidence and of course asking where this is all coming from. Then received email from Olga as well saying same and that she had signed up for this site and will come on as well, so will let them explain themselves.

Well, I will be interested to read her response to the allegations. But I don't think any of us believe that Paul Shteyn would just post this sort of information for the heck of it.
