I would like to see the break down of vehicles. These inspections usually pull over lots of landscapers cube vans etc and use the commercial vehicle tag to scare the hell out of John Q Public against the big bad trucks as usual..

Too True Rob. They show a picture of an officer underneath a trailer so everyone assumes they are all "big rigs" but I have seen a large majority of contractors and lawn/landscapers being pulled over lately. Something else I have noticed is the Environmental Officers pulling over the same crews that are using diesel pickup trucks.

yup, have seen too many headlines about truck accidents only to read the article and find out its a Ford F-150.

I agree. But the public is not going to interpret the news that way. They will always think it is the big, bad transport trucks. That is why I say it is bad news for the industry.

I got yanked last year around this time in a gasser pickup pulling a Triaxle dump trailer by MTO for an inspection, and they had MOF there to dip my tank for farm diesel...."its a gasser" I said, "were gonna check anyway" said MOF man.....

Passed both inspection......
