Great Wide (formerly Dallas Mavis)

Just had a call from the Oshawa office of Great Wide who also threw in the words "Dallas Mavis" (which scared me a bit) - thought Great Wide was bankrupt?? He wants my freight and now I'm wondering what's the deal.

The parent company for Dallas Mavis and other divisions went bankrupt and re-surfaced with all the same names, but with Great Wide added to it. They took a load for us back in August and if I remember correctly they did an ok job. I don't think it was the Oshawa office though. I think the lady's name was Kathy.

Great Wide Dedicated Transport

I am almost ready to give a load to their Michigan office. Does anyone have any recent experiences with this firm? I know they had a relationship with Dallas Mavis in the past, or are some sort or re-incarnation. All replies are appreciated.

I average 10 loads a week with various divisions of Greatwide...no issues to report..

I've given the Oshawa office a few loads of deck freight without any issues. Can be hard to get a hold of on a few occasions but that's about it.
