Well we all know about Jim @ Goggins, RJK and KCG Freightworks. Thought I would give an update - after waiting close to a year for payment and being more than patient and understanding with his money "tales of woe" - Jim will no longer take my calls or even come to the phone. We had constant communication for months - everytime I was assured I would be paid for his nephew's load (Shawn @ KCG Freightworks) - he just needed more time to get back on his feet. I was more than sympathetic to his situation - I gave him more time than he asked for and many of our conversations were lengthly regarding the industry, changes and the struggles we are all facing.
He has been operating with staff - still has a location to work out of and is paying rent. He should have made good on his "promises". After leaving me on hold for a half hour last week - that was the last straw....
I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that someone like this has no business starting up operations again - business ethics should not go by the wayside - even during hard times. One should remain professional in order to hold respect amongst peers. I warn anyone who deals with Jim - whatever comes out of his mouth is simply "lip service" - his promises in the end - are worth absolutely nothing.
