Hello Evreyone

Dealing with company called GMR Freight from QC. When I first booked load i was told they have there own trucks by a dispatcher or sales rep(They called me for a load i had posted on the link) When it came to delivery(today) I was told the Serivice Express is doing the load and that it is the same company as GMR. IS IT? Also there are demanding for full payment before the load is now delivered. Any suggestions here. I have no problems paying but they are kind of holding my freight hostage for payment. I dont want to pay the wrong people and later it comes to bite me in the a55 and I have to pay the end carrier twice.

So any dealing with these people? Any suggestions

Call Michel at Service Express in Saint Romuald QC and ask him if they are partners.

You may want something in writing if the carrier written on the BOL is different than the person you are paying!!

clarifications

Good day,

GMR and service Express are separate entities working from same office. One is a trucking company with trucks and b-trains and the other is freight brokerage. I have posted this fact on here before, as it intrigues a lot of people. it is not much different than all those trucking companies who has now a logistic department under a different name.


Just spoke to Mike here, as i am shareholder in both corporations and he simply said that he had asked 3 times for credit references which were never provided. it is the first time he is dealing with you and feels there might be a potential problem for payment. Please if anyone has reference to give on your company, it would be nice to know and avoid this situation being driven on the wrong path.

I was just doing my research to deal with this situation. As per the information i have gathered. I have no problem paying up front for the load. Thanks for the info.
 
This site works!

Just as it is, we actually were both looking towards inside transport to actually check on each other. Means that credibility runs high here and people appreciate to have this forum. i will consult more often.
