GIGG Express

I have checked our CTPAT portal and GIGG is not offered as available for partner monitoring. I'm not 100% exactly sure that means they are not CTPAT certified or not. We were not monitoring them before now.

Just a rumour, I heard, that a GIGG was stopped at the border for drugs in the conveyance. If that happens your CTPAT status is immediately placed under review. If that is the case this may indicate why we cannot monitor them. If they lose their C-TPAT and FAST they will lose a lot of GM shipments.
 
I got an email from the portal this morning that their status had changed, they were certified when I checked they were not.

I heard something similar, that they bypassed a customs inspection at Port Huron.
 
That was it! Must also be a part of the same group as me. Mostly whining but the odd good bit of info can be had there as well.
