Watch out for this carrier based in Dearborn, MI with an office or phone in Windsor. He hauled a load for us last year that resulted in a freight claim. Their insurance company did respond and paid their part, but after 10 months, GCL has yet to pay their deductible portion in full. After receiving $2000.00, the shipper is still short $500.00. His response to our many requests for payment have been met with a string of "times are tough", "have had a bad year", etc., etc. Recent attempts at resolving this problem with the carrier's insurance company have been unsuccessful. I know it's only $500.00 and to keep our customer happy, we will be paying it, but the complete lack of responsibility on the part of this carrier is reprehensible. Based on his comments, this warning may not be required as it appears he will no longer be gracing our industry with his presence.

Who owns this company? I had a similar incident with Blue Streak Logistics. Our load was stolen though. $35,000 usd. Claim paid except Blue Streak cancelled his insurance and never paid the deductible ($5000) I am out $3800. He also registered his company in Michigan then opened in Windsor and operates out of Windsor. Is it cheaper to setup perhaps, or is the ulterior motive that they will become harder to sue on the US side. I have found several Windsor carriers are doing the same thing, must be something to it. The owner of Blue Streak says he can't pay me either, go figure.

Owner is Guy Levesque, from Windsor Ontario Canada. We hauled a lot fo freight for this company GCL, and he took all the profit off the top and gave everyone the dregs. His office is on Industrial BLVD in dearborn Michigan. If someone gets too close to him he runs back across the border into Canda...BE AWARE...His mother and sister own the company and Guy just runs it, he started it and then "sold" it to the ladies who have NO idea that he's using it as his own private "CASH COW"
