Got a call from a broker for 1 skid $175 all in. What planet are they on?

Depends on the weight and density. I believe Cooper Brothers or any other common and class based carrier will extend this sort of rate as long as the freight class is 65 or less with a lighter weight. Polaris' min charge is also around that area. These guys just have so much volume they are able to maximize the full space on their trailers.

Polaris is priced around that mark. I agree. Also, if the skid isn't heavy it's likely it can get done at that rate or less by common carrier.
