Make sure your fuel cards are at a minimum daily limit. Our fuel cards were at 2200 litres a day, must have been set at that since day one and nobody ever checked. When we had a card stolen over the weekend they had 6600 litres gone in 3 days.
Monitor your fuel usage frequently to make sure it is in line with usage I understand some carriers lost a months worth of fuel. Fuel card thefts are rampant right now. Our supplier has had 13 ytd in the GTA area, and all other suppliers have had them too. Cards should never be left in the truck and pin numbers never left where they can be found.
