Freight Lead!! Anyone interested!!

hhmmmmmmmmmm, did this broker actually move the load for 1250? i may be the cheapest smallest broker on the forum and i cant book that for less than 2600 cdn

Most of the brokers are doing the same thing. They are making crazy money out of loads by saying ohhh our volume dropped so we gotta make our livings. yeah, go ahead by cutting our throat.

None of my regular Customers or Brokers have dropped the rate by even a single cent. So I don't why all these other Brokers can't do the same and offer someone a fair rate???
i find myself having to actually pay more than normal

WALTERK I'm not sure the mega carriers causing this is true, probably over 1/2 the businesses are closed, any retailers that are left open are stuffed to the gills in their DC's. All the auto plants are closed which throws how many 1000's of trucks that normally run auto parts into the market? Have you seen our dollar? Instead of blaming brokers or carriers look at the market. It's going to be bad for the next month or so and we all have to batten down the hatches and do what you got to do to survive. There are always bottom feeder scum bags trying to find desperate carriers to haul for nothing know your cost per mile and don't go under it on the round trip otherwise the hole is getting deeper every mile you turn.

Operating your business at a loss for a period of time isn’t that strange or rare. Of course the business must be well capitalized to do it, either using your own money (retained earnings), or a line of credit from the bank. The questions though is, how long are you willing to “bleed” cash in the hope that things will turn around? I cannot speak to whether or not the US government is directly subsidizing large carriers, although I seriously doubt it. Little guys can survive by ruthlessly examining every piece of overhead and getting rid of everything that isn’t absolutely essential to your operation. Also review our government’s relief programs and see if you qualify. Be prepared for a period of low rates due to reduced demand. When this turns around, one month, two months, six months, there will be an opportunity to make back some of the losses we are all incurring. The challenge will be survival until that takes place.

FYI
GM plants back up running now in US and FORD plants will be in operation from 30th April.

Even when the automotive and Tier 1 companies start running they will only run at 50% capacity. When we come out of this pandemic we are in for a long recession.

Well, it comes with a book now option no need to call the Broker.........
This is the future now.................

I called US Broker that i know as i was seeing on some rate lane forums that USA carriers had some posting .50 to 70 cents per mile, he advised that he was paying 1.00 a mile. He didn't flinch and said that was the market rate now. I would feel ashamed of myself if I presented any of those rates. I have not changed my rates and thankfully so far my customers that are still shipping have not asked me to.

Boys and girls ........if you don’t like the rate, just do as Nancy Reagan told us to do......just say NO!

Radiant Wheels - offering 3300 on a lane (had to promise to lock in for a year when rates were high- now less than a year, down to 2000.00. #transactionalAF #don'tbelievethecollaborativerelationship #thankatruckerbybendinghimover

DSV Canada promised us per week gave them a year-round rate $1800 less than what we were getting at that time. Begged us to do 2 loads in a row because they were not able to cover at that price. Promised for the weekly load. after 6 weeks someone offered them less obvious and they sidecut us. its been two years now and I still can't get over it.

I have absolutely no idea who this G2 broker is, but perhaps they have always been offering depressed rates, pandemic or not. In any event, low rates are not the sole domain of brokers right now. I have lost some freight over the last few days to carriers at rates that are about in line with what this G2 fellow is offering. Strange times indeed.
I know G2 Logistics / Transport from winnipeg working as a carrier and brokers there rates were very good in early 2018 but they dropped rate signifincantly like others.
