Afternoon Everyone,

We are in the last week of May and there have been no donations this month.

I've noticed the last few months haven't been that great either.

All of you members with either Senior status or 300-500+ posts - should all have a SUPPORTER banner above your name. If you don't - you are well overdue to make that $5/$10 donation - to the site you have been using and relying on - for quite some time.

I have taken notice and made a list of all those who have not yet donated - and should have by now....

Please don't make me single you out come May 31st...when I notice no change on the donation meter nor a supporter banner added above your name....

All donations - big or small - are most appreciated by Admin - and cover off just the basic expenses to keep this site going each month. It doesn't run by itself - so do your part.

OK time to pony up some dough...........it does not take a lot if we all chip in.........I think it is time for people who use this site daily to get that Supporter under your name.

July Donations

A reminder to all - last day of July to get your contributions in for the month. We have $80 more to go to reach target.

I really don't want to centre members out - you know who you are - open up the wallet.

You're way overdue on giving this forum support. A site you are using and relying on every day.

We are into the middle of November and there are currently no forum donations. As I noted back in July - the following members need to cover this month. Many of you have been here for years and have not even contributed the minimum donation of $5.

Just to name a few....

Many of you are posting freight leads on a DAILY BASIS - you pay Load Link to do this - pay the nominal fee to do so here....

Those that contribute regularly and post alot less than those noted above - should not be the only ones keeping this forum going.

I expect all of you to have SUPPORT banners added by next month - and so do the rest of us - that contribute and do our part to be here everyday. If you have donated and your banner has not been updated - let me know ASAP.

Donations

I just made my donation. I was out of the industry for over a year and returned at the end of August this year. I have to give credit to all the members here who have helped me catch up on everything that I missed!

I just made a little donatation to assist with your hosting costs. I mainly use this site as an information tool, not for posting freight leads etc.

The payment history/credit worthiness section is one area that I definately appreciate. No point in trying to solicit loads or new business from people who can't pay bills on time.

Thanks again for the amazing tool you've provided to us peeps in the industry.

Will donate again next month!

Thank you to those few members who donated last month and came off my "named list".

With that said - we are near the end of December - and only $10 has been contributed.

Just once again...to name a few....there are others out there - and you'll be on the list next....

And if you are still contemplating whether you should make your minimal $5 donation to this site, feel you don't have to or can't be bothered to open your wallet - I'll tell you why you should....

Those members who have been on here for years (you know who you are) - you will start seeing rotating temporary bans to your login come January. And when you turn to this site for posting load requirements - credit checks - carrier references - and general questions - your inquiries will not be quickly or ever responded to by other members - because you are missing that SUPPORTER banner above your name. I won't be so quick to help you out...neither will others...

This banner not only means that you have contributed monetarily - but that you are part of our community. A community that is here to help in many facets of transport - to support your business. And most importantly - a web community that doesn't impose mandatory monthly fees to be on here - which is what ADMIN is greatly trying to avoid.

So if you don't want any of the above to happen or effect your account...you know what to do - only 12 days left in December.

And thank you to those members who donate on a regular basis. Hopefully you won't have to pick up the slack for the other "non payers" for much longer....

Donations/Banners/Rolling Bans

I have asked ADMIN to update all SUPPORTER banners. If there is anyone who has contributed this month - and the monies are not yet reflected - please make sure you send ADMIN a message with the donation details.

As previously noted below - rolling account bans for some of you will begin shortly. This has been mentioned a few times now - and should come as no shock when you cannot login to your account for a week or 2...

A big "thank you" to those who have added that banner to your name recently. And as always - the forum appreciates those who contribute on a regular basis - picking up the slack from the others who are way overdue. Hopefully this will soon come to an end and those will pay their fair share to meet the goal each month.

When I registered this was a FREE site. If you want to ban me because I don’t make VOLUNTARY DONATION when you see fit, go right ahead.

You want money ? Charge a monthly fee ! At least then, members will know what they get their selves in too.

I have donated in the past ! And I don’t need a banner !

DRC, if you thrive on having different banners next to your name, why don’t you ask ADMIN to make special ones just for you ! I would have donated again, but I will less likely do so as long that there is somebody like you the doing the PR and forcing donations out of me based on cheap threats.

I donate to this site because I see value in the content.

InsideTransport saves me time, headache and the business I work for benefits greatly as my checking here for double brokers/thieves, etc... for only a few minutes can save me hours and hours delaing with an issue (and possibly losing customers in the process).

ALL of my donations have been out of pocket (I do not expense them).

My donations are voluntary and well worth the investment. I understand that something that brings this much value to me (and allows me vent a little at times) is worth contributing towards.

I have much more to say about this, but I'll avoid the rant and also I'll avoid going off topic.

I'm 100% FOR making this site 'pay only', I've said it before and I do now again. I believe it will cut back significantly on the posts I don't care to read anyway...

Very valid point Mike. The objection here (in my opinion) is the method being used.

ADMIN pays out of pocket each month that the goal is not reached.

I would hardly call a $5 donation - which is what many members make - a "pizzo". But I appreciate the dramatic flair.

If you do not wish to donate - that is your choice. Hence why you have ignored past requests to chip in $5 - yet you are logged in everyday - all day long. We all see it...

Nawk - I am disappointed to say the least with your comment. With all of your good posts and contributions - I thought you - of all members - would appreciate what it takes to run this forum. To have a tech person to do all the updates - pay for those updates - run and check it on a daily basis. Not to mention the other administrative duties and registrations to be paid out on a yearly basis.

And you still feel $5 is too much to ask...very disappointing...

Placing bans on member's accounts was the last option. The last possible resort. But when I get PM's from other members who are always contributing and asking why they have to - and others on here for 4 years never have - what answer can be provided?

As I mentioned - if ADMIN has to keep paying out of pocket - a fee will be charged. And I can tell you - it will be alot more than $5 month.

When you cannot login - perhaps then you'll see the value of this site - and appreciate it for all it has to offer.
