Factoring company recommendations?

The one is recommend is definitely SG Capital they seem to be very aggressive in the market place and a possible JD Factor

Giving a trucking company / freight brokerage all info including rates on shippers sounds like a great deal for the factors owners other businesses. Not only aggressive in the factor game the freight game they are pretty darn aggressive into as well. I would think long and hard before using such an entity. IMHO.

I would think I would think long and hard over using a carrier using a factor that is aggressive in all facets of the industry including a growing by leaps and bounds brokerage. Yes their money is good no doubt but I am sure ABC brokers will be all impressed when the sales force of a carrier/broker/factor is in there with all the info they need to rate aggressively. Conflict probably but for whom? The factor he is providing a service?

technically if factor is 1324 ontario inc.. and the brokerage is a seperate company, ie. 5532 ontario inc... then it would constitute a potential breach of privacy having data move from the factoring company (1324 ontario inc) to the brokerage business (5532 ontario inc.)

Trucking companies should all be paying CRA WSIB etc as well just because they should does not mean they will. Guy is the king of the never never plan
Not really that much different than brokering loads to a carrier, only to find out the carrier runs a freight brokerage firm as well, and the sale rep is querying the asset side to obtain leads for the brokerage.... your protection lies in honest companies, and ensuring you know exactly where and how your data you provide to third parties is being used / stored / archived.
