Hey world, gather ’round. Let me tell you a tale of professionalism gone missing—or maybe it was never there to begin with. Meet FA International, a company apparently specializing in “How to take your money and vanish 101.”

The cast of characters:
  • Adeel Aslam – Office: 866.640.7001 x7002
  • Robin Rai – Office: 437.781.5671 x7119 | Mobile: 647-877-5634
Address: 165 The Queensway, #305 Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada M8Y 1H8

The plot:
I booked two loads with these fine gentlemen. One from Calexico, CA to Etobicoke, and the other from BC to Montreal. Everything was in good faith, and I delivered on my part—because apparently, that’s still a thing in 2025.

The deal? Cash on delivery. Sounds simple, right? Wrong.

Stage 1: Excuses
  • “We’re tight on funds, just give us 10 more days.” Sure, okay. Everyone hits a cash flow hiccup. No biggie.

Stage 2: Vanishing act
  • 40 days later: poof. Both Adeel and Robin have blocked my cell, office number, and ignored emails. Incredible. I didn’t know the magic trick was part of logistics management now.

The damage:
  • About $4,500 USD gone… for now.

So, what’s next?
  • Contacting Metro directly is one idea.
  • Sharing this story and warning others seems like the socially responsible thing to do.

Lesson learned:
If FA International calls themselves “professional,” I guess that’s in the same sense a magician is professional when they make your money disappear.

So here’s a PSA for all my fellow vendors and carriers: don’t put faith in Robin Rai or Adeel Aslam unless you enjoy mystery payments and ghosting magic tricks.

Share this, tag your colleagues, and let’s make sure no one else falls into the FA International black hole of excuses.

Next time I have a non payer can I hire you to advise the company... I want to say this is the best post ever!!!!

Also flagged on our end as well.

Its sad but you cant give an inch to some of these people, its very very sad the state of this industry.

I hope you get your money and i will keep an ear out if i hear from FA or about them.

Do you know what FA stands for? (I know the answer)
I already have a SCC action filed against FA
PM me and will share info

I’ve been to the Etobicoke office several times—shocker, the door’s always locked. At this rate, I might as well start looking into an SCC action against them to see if that’s the only way I’ll get my money back.

Not to sound critical in any way at all, but when you are offered “cash on delivery” doesn’t your radar start beeping, even just a little? Especially when you haven’t dealt with them before? Best of luck getting your money, it sure sounds like this outfit has played this game before.

As my client wanted me to serve a final demand letter to FA, I had my assistant go there, and there was only one person in the office that gave his name as Adam Khalaf accountant. When she officially served FA with the Claim, and although she recognized him from before, this time he gave his name as Adeel Aslam. Again he was the only one in the office.
He tried offering $2000/month (which would be 24 months - totally unacceptable.).
LMK if you want to proceed through me.

I'm surprised Metro would even deal with people like FA. I'm going to guess they don't have an idea of what FA is up too

I can almost assure you this isn't through Metro direct.

Shipper is paying the bill OR its double/triple brokered

Ill bet this thread is still going on next year, these guys never seem to disappear

I just realized this is Bamford's.

The truck broker divisions of the produce importers at OFTB can be difficult to work with, I've had a lot of experience with it in my day. Those businesses are usually COD businesses, we used to put all of them at net 7 unless it was the big grocers.
