so long as the overhang is a 48 no overhang allowed on a 53 is my understanding but a flatbed guy may correct me.I will make a note of that.
We found a way to split the overhang at each end. No headboard on flatbed.

Shipper would not be the one on the hook for the fines and on the side of the road until legal. I would be making darn sure before loading on some poor schmucks trailer that may have no idea either. Any of you flatbed guys confirm?The shipper has told us this would work?

They were patient and fortunately we got it cleared.
No issues with them.
