Everest Freight & Logistics

One and only shipment we gave them never saw their 'equipment'. I have the name of the 'pickup agent' as provided by the shipper, linehaul provider (who I've cautioned as they just started working together with Everest and it seems that they were gtting a bunch of LTL business) and 'delivery agent' as provided by the consignee.

I will be sure that they are all paid before Everest sees a cent. Alternatively, I could pay the 3 directly as is clearly stated in my terms and conditions (I like to protect the company who actually does the work).

When confronted and accused of double brokering, Jack advised me they were doing nothing wrong. Really?? Amazing.

Keep well,
Mike

I learned to stay away from these guys a long time ago. They are like another Rockman. They double broker their freight, and I have never seen a truck either.

Steer clear !!

1 invoice and lots of runaround. I had to contact their customer to get Everest to pay. STAY AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!

Gave them a pick up last Friday from PA and it only deliverd today, 6 days later. After many different stories from Jack and 3 days trying to get answers and calls returned - I got a hold of Nas. Of course the story I got from Nas was no where even close to what Jack had been telling us. Then we got a copy of the customs paperwork and checked on the carrier code and it was not Everest Freight and Logistics...surprise surprise! Stay Away!!!

Traveller Call me

I think I just delivered your freight today. A real mess.

Just a note to add to Traveller's comment. You mention 'Nas' as a point of contact at Everest. I have never worked with Everest although they have called on multiple postings, but the name, Nas, has a big chance of being 'Nas' (Nasir Ahmed) from Able (just search Able and the newbies will learn who they were). The company's antics seem to be the same based on these posts. Be careful all.

It is real hard for them to put freight on their "EQUIPMENT" when they dont have any.

T800,

Happy Friday!

Agreed, I'll notify them in writing they have defied my Terms and Conditions #1 and #2 (double brokering and furtherance without offering operating authorities and insurances for furtherance at the time of booking). I'll suggest that we pay the carriers direct, or that they must prove payment to those parties which I will verify.

Thing that makes this sad is that this was a 1 skid from NY into ON move...

Keep well,
Mike

I'd say your best bet to collect from Everest is through Nancy Kokinasidis... she is the credit manager (receivables), but she is part owner as well... Good luck to everyone owed by them!

I work with a former employee of Everest, and no they don't have any trucks. They have one plated that stays parked just so they can have access to the Link and double-broker loads. And yes as Boss has mentioned - it is the same Nas.

I ran into the same problem about 5 months ago with one of the "NEW CANADIAN" outfits out of Surrey. I paid the carrier that hauled it directly. They threatened me with legal action but never heard a word since.

DAMN, Dropped the ball on this, not only did they make me pre-pay but they double brokered the shipment and I had to send my own unit to pick up and deliver.

MAY THIS BE THE LAST SHIPMENT THEY GET. NAS IS A CROOK.

They don't own any units and a typical Rockman Transport company.

How you miss this one Paul?

On my way there this afternoon. I have some invoices that are not due yet, but the accts payable has not returned my calls.
I will let you know what the place looks like and what excuses they will come up with.
For watchdog, wasn't this able guy mixed up with Chris Yaun in a past venture?
