Equipment/Machine movers + Riggers

Morning all,

I have a customer in Mississauga that needs to move a large piece of machinery 10x4x12 (LxWxH) 15,000lbs.

No dock, forklift or crane on site - moving to a new location in Mississauga.

Can anyone give a recommendation on some experienced machine movers in the GTA?

Scott Woods may be able to assist, as well as Lalonde Machinery Movers.
 
I'd give Scott-Woods first crack at it also.

If they're booked I've used Danbra machinery movers with success also 416-674-1344
 
If the machinery is on wheels or tracks, I usually try excavation outfits... sometimes they'll do it beween two moves of their own equipment for a very cheap rate, just so their driver doesn't idle a Timmy's between moves. These guys have chains, binders, experience.

They have all the equipment and experience for these kinds of moves, including crane and forklift.

I would strongly suggest staying away from anyone who has "towing" in their name.

Call a true "machinery mover" and get the job done by a professional.

Trendway do heavy hauling not rigging and moving plant machines . try lalonde they are longest in the bis.more than 40 years. they supply riggers millwrights fork lifts rolloff trucks and floats up to 100 ton . any type macheinery up to 600 ton they can move . if you want reputable movers LALONDE MACHINERY MOVERS 200 midwest scar ont 416 285 0024 . donny lalonde the owner

Hey Crackers, while you are entitled to your opinion, I take offence to the fact I personally recommended this company, based on my 25 + years experience in this business and the services that they have provided over those 25 years.

Please do not judge a book by the cover. Insinuating that a company is not qualified to do business with, because of the name, is like saying a restaurant is not fit to eat in because it does not have a neon sign out front. Neither argument makes much sense.

This response was not meant to start a heated debate and I apologize, in advance, for any problem this may cause.
 
As others have chimed in, I'd make Scott Woods my first call too.

I think if you want the job done right and rigged properly, you may have to go with someone who has a connection with a crane outfit (like one of those Hiab trucks.) It may cost you extra but it's better than finding the Canadian equivalent of that hippy dude from "Shipping Wars" and having to listen to someone whine about dimensions or rigging crews.
 
We've always had luck with IMM 905-670-4100
....though there are a few good ones.
Check out the websites. Most of these guys have a pretty impressive list of installations.
