Not sure if this helps, but they factored all of their invoices with J D Factors in Mississauga. As the factoring company, they are responsible to assure that there is no monies owed on the amount paid, so I am collecting from them.
 
I might be wrong...but just ran accross a carrier named PBS Transport and gave them a load to Calgary...same problem as with Empire, seems the same M.O. they take many LTL, send them in various trucks. They left my stock into a local carrier in Calgary for the delivery. A chance that this guy called my customer, so I was able to trace it accordingly. But really big problems with PBS. Guy name is Neil...spoke also with a Sam. Beware...

Beware they are the same people pulling the same scams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have an outstanding invoice for Empire Logistics.
The number we have is not in service. Does anyone have anyway of finding these guys?

We had the same problem with empire. They have an outstanding invoice from us for a load we did to Calgary. Rumour is that the local guy in Calgary is in on his scam.

We now tend to stay away from Montreal based brokers other than the large established ones. Way too many scammers in Montreal, and it gives the honest hardworking small ones a bad name.

So you didn't get the money from Empire? What date did you move that load?

Somebody said that they are still working, changed the company name - something like "PBS Transport" now.

But I don't know how I can be sure that they are the same company??? I have the address for PBS as 239 PIERRE CHASSEUR , Laval , Quebec PH: 514-509-8348.

The owner of Empire Logistics was Paul Shergill, Simon was working in dispatch for him...

I strongly agree regarding the fear that your freight would ever end up in these guys hands...

We never did get the money from them. We were considering filing SC claim on them, but with the info that was provided it was very shady, not sure of what corporate name, corporate number, address and so forth. On top of that we would have to file in the province of Quebec, which would be a hassle, we are an Ontario based company. The time and money needed to see this through was not worth it when you look at the cost versus return. that being said I do hope that someone more local to them gets their point across and gets their money out of them.

And their numbers no longer seem to be working or being answered at PBS.

Due dilligence is the best thing to do before taking loads from these lowlifes.
