That's why immediately after posting that, I corrected myself and said it's not attempted murder because I didn't see the part about the trailer brakes. I initially mis-read it as truck brakes

Really... Because if the lines are cut you can't move the trailer.

If the application side was cut you could move the trailer all day long. You wouldn't have any brakes when you pushed down on the pedal.
