Is there any websites or applications the experienced folks out here use that helps in determining whether a driver is a good hire or can verify with at least 90% accuracy of drivers experience besides using CVORs and PSP reports?

CVOR (or other provincial commercial record)
Drivers Abstract
PSP report
Previous employer reference
Insurance letter if they were able to get it from their previous employer.

And that's it.

From the CVOR, if they have an entry (inspection/conviction/accident) at a different company you'll see it and it should show the carrier they were driving with at the time. That helps fill in the holes of their employment and can indicate that they worked at a company and don't want you to call the company about their employment.
